What Timmy stores
Your ChatGPT sign-in supplies a user identity so your preferences, programme selections and explicit feedback stay separate from other users. Timmy stores the editorial brief you choose to save, selected video IDs and YouTube metadata, programme titles and reasons, explicit reactions, and Watchlist publication records. Serving a selection or opening a link is not recorded as proof that you watched it.
Your Google connection
TIMMYCLAW uses YouTube API Services. Connecting Google grants the YouTube account management scope. Timmy uses this to identify your authorised channel, discover and verify videos, and create the playlist you explicitly choose to save. The Google OAuth client secret and your refresh token are encrypted and kept on the server. They are not included in chat cards or sent to other viewers. Connecting does not publish a playlist.
Saved playlists are unlisted on your authorised channel. Anyone with the YouTube playlist link can see them. Your private Timmy brief and conversation are not added to the playlist.
Video playback and other services
Video titles, thumbnails and playback come from YouTube. Loading YouTube content can share information with Google, and its embedded player can collect information such as device and playback interactions under Google’s Privacy Policy. The video player loads after you press Play. YouTube controls advertisements, cookies and playback restrictions.
You use TIMMYCLAW through ChatGPT and its hosted Sites infrastructure. OpenAI processes your interactions under its applicable privacy terms. Information you deliberately send to Timmy in ChatGPT is processed through that service. Timmy feedback is used for your viewing preferences; it does not create a like or dislike on YouTube.
Retention and revocation
Daily maintenance rechecks Google authorisations and refreshes stored YouTube metadata before 30 days. Records that cannot be refreshed are removed at the 30-day deadline. Retired site-chat records are also removed after 30 days. This may remove a local selection or local publication record; it does not delete the playlist on YouTube. Standing preferences and explicitly supplied feedback remain until you clear them.
Disconnecting under Manage my YouTube revokes Google access and deletes local video selections and publication records. Timmy also deletes these records when a token refresh reports revoked or invalid consent. You can independently revoke access using Google security settings. Maintenance failures require operational attention; this private preview is not yet a public release.
Your controls
In Settings, you can inspect or change your preferences, export your memory, and use Forget everything to delete your local Timmy preferences, selections, conversations and feedback. This does not revoke your Google connection or delete your playlists on YouTube. To revoke Google access, disconnect separately. Email the contact above if you cannot access these controls or want to request deletion. We aim to complete deletion requests promptly and within seven days.
Children’s content
This preview is not directed at children. Made for Kids videos and videos with an unknown Made for Kids status are not embedded in this player. They can be viewed directly on YouTube.
